During the long motorsports season that NASCAR promotes from February through November, reporters and photographers trek across country to record comments and snap images. This reporter typically attends at least eight events, often 10 or more, for NASCAR, NHRA and IndyCar.
Many media members, including this one, begin their motorsports season In January with testing and a fan fest at Daytona, the Sprint Media Tour at Charlotte Motor Speedway and a big tent Daytona International Speedway media day a week or more prior to the Daytona 500.
The travel crisscrosses many states and passes much nature throughout the U.S.A. Although time limits won’t allow for the enjoyment of mountains, lakes, rivers and oceans that a planned vacation affords, some moments—off track and before agenda—-allow for visual recording with various lenses.
These pages bring a collection of the better images among hundreds, well thousands actually, so the sharing of fun work and powerful action can be had in far shorter time than a racing season.
